Individual Therapy for Women in Virginia & Florida
For women who are used to holding everything together and are ready to feel less overwhelmed, navigate life’s transitions, and make space for themselves, too.
You’ve spent so much time caring for everyone else. It’s time to reconnect with yourself.
You are the person others depend on. The one who shows up, gets things done, takes care of others, and keeps everything moving.
But somewhere along the way, you may have started feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from yourself.
Maybe you’re navigating a new season of life, motherhood or a major life change that has left you questioning what comes next. Or maybe nothing looks particularly wrong from the outside, you just know that the way you’ve been living no longer feels sustainable.
Therapy can give you a place to slow down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. A space to begin paying attention to what you need, what matters to you, and how you want to move forward.
You don’t have to wait until you’re completely overwhelmed to ask for support.

You May Be Here Because…
You’re exhausted from being the person everyone counts on, but you don't know how to step out of that role.
You keep pushing yourself to do more, even when you're already running on empty.
You have trouble knowing what you want because you're so accustomed to considering everyone else's needs first.
You’re navigating motherhood or another major life transition and don't quite recognize yourself anymore.
You’re successful on paper, but something feels off.
You find yourself caught in perfectionism, overthinking, people-pleasing, or guilt.
You understand that something from your past is still affecting how you respond today.
You're at a point where you don't necessarily need someone to tell you what to do—you want to understand yourself more deeply and make different choices.

Hi, I’m Heather.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes every woman deserves a space where she doesn’t have to hold everything together.
Many of the women I work with are dependable, compassionate, driven, and deeply caring. They’re the ones others turn to. They show up, take care of things, and keep moving forward—even when they’re running on empty.
And sometimes, they reach a point where they realize:
“I can’t keep doing things the way I’ve always done them.”
Maybe anxiety or overwhelm has started taking up more space than it used to. Maybe motherhood or another life transition has changed how you see yourself. Or maybe you simply know that something feels different, and you’re not quite sure what you need anymore.
My work is centered around helping women slow down and better understand themselves—their needs, values, patterns, and the experiences that have shaped how they move through the world.
Together, we can make space to explore what’s underneath the stress, expectations, and roles you’ve been carrying, while figuring out what you want and what matters to you in this season of your life.
It’s about having the space to understand yourself more clearly and make choices that feel more like your own.
A Place to Pause. Reconnect. Begin Again.
Therapy can be a place where you don't have to perform, achieve, or hold everything together—just a space to slow down, listen to yourself, and begin moving toward what comes next.
Am I the Right Fit for You?
Finding the right therapist matters. You should feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and bringing your whole self into the room.
My work may be a good fit if you’re looking for thoughtful, personalized therapy and are willing to be curious about yourself—not just the symptoms or circumstances that brought you here.
Together, we’ll look at the patterns, beliefs, relationships, and experiences that may be influencing how you feel and respond today. We’ll also make space for your needs, values, and what you want for this season of your life.
You may be a good fit if you:
Want to understand yourself more deeply rather than simply find a quick fix
Are curious about why you respond to certain situations the way you do
Feel ready to look at patterns that may no longer be serving you
Want support navigating anxiety, overwhelm, motherhood, identity shifts, or a significant life transition
Are willing to be an active participant in the therapy process
Want to make changes that feel realistic and aligned with who you are—not based on someone else’s expectations
My approach may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
A therapist who will simply tell you what to do
Quick solutions without exploring what may be underneath the problem
Therapy focused only on managing symptoms without considering the larger picture
Therapy with me isn’t about giving you a list of things you “should” be doing.
It’s about slowing down enough to understand what’s happening, becoming more aware of what you need and what matters to you, and working together to find a way forward that fits your life.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. You simply need enough curiosity and willingness to take the first step.
Not sure if we’re a good fit?
That’s what a consultation is for. We can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re looking for, and whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
